To kick off our little staycation, we decided to take a short walk across the street to one of the kitschiest shopping experiences Vegas has to offer – the Bonanza Gift Shop, otherwise known as “The World’s Largest Gift Shop”. This awesome store offers both hilariously gaudy gifts and cute trinkets galore! Need a neon Las Vegas visor in your life? These fine folks have you covered.
For our first night, we wanted to do it up Las Vegas style and do the whole drinks, dinner and nightlife thing inside the SLS. When in Rome, as they say!
We started off with pre-dinner cocktails at the elegant Monkey Bar then off to dinner at Mediterranean restaurant Cleo. We seriously can’t say enough great things about the food and service at Cleo! From the labaneh to the decadent lamb tagine, everything was impeccable.
Capping off the night, we decided to do something we very rarely do – go to the club. Nightlife is such a big part of what makes Las Vegas unique, so we threw on our heels and checked out Foxtail. Although the whole nightclub scene is certainly not for everyone (we’re more coffee shop types than bottle service types), it’s still fun every now and then to get dolled up and dance the night away!
